The quaint little village of Westbury, centrally located in the Northern Tasmania, is the perfect base from which to explore Launceston, Devonport, the Tamar wineries, Cradle Mountain, the Mole Creek Caves, the Northwest, and, of course our local attractions.

Westbury was established in the 1820's as a garrison town, and is the home of The White House Museum and Woodfired Bakery, Village Green, The Westbury Maze, Pearn's world famous Steam World and many historic buildings.

Accommodation is in 5 delightfully individual colonial cottages dating from the 1850's, The Gingerbread Cottage, The Old Bakehouse, The Corner Cottage, The Servant's Quarters and The Apple Tree Cottage decorated with period furniture and memorabilia.

Recommended by Lonely Planet: OUR PICK - These little cottages alone are worth staying in Westbury for. Decked out with antiques, a cosy country feel and absolute attention to detail, they are fully self-contained with all mod cons. Our favourite is the cute timber-lined Gingerbread Cottage (c. 1880)” - Lonely Planet 5th Edition, October 2008.
