The Old Bakehouse
Not just a room -
a complete colonial cottage for your exclusive use!
Please click on photos and plans to enlarge.
The Old Bakehouse was the original bakery, a two storey building from the 1850's which operated as such until as recently as the 1970's.
Colin and Ruth Clarke then established the premises as colonial accommodation in conjunction with their antique store. Whilst retaining many original features, newer additions during the renovations include a modern kitchen, laundry facilities, a modern bathroom with toilet and a separate toilet.
Downstairs The Old Bakehouse features a queen bedroom with an additional single bed, lounge with cosy gas log fire, a kitchen/dining room (which was the baker's oven), bathroom with separate toilet and a laundry. Upstairs there is a queen bedroom and a twin bedroom. Please note that the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms are quite narrow and steep and may not be suitable for some guests.
All rates include homebaked "goodies" upon arrival
and provisions for a full breakfast: bacon, eggs,
tomatoes, cereals, juice, tea, plunger coffee, breads, spreads
and homemade jams. Your breakfast provisions are replenished
daily.
Facilities include: TV, DVD player, radio/CD, courtyard BBQ, off-street parking and local phone. Mobile broadband available. We are a strictly non-smoking establishment.
